March 18, 2010 – Sarasota, FL- Ringling College of Art and Design’s An Evening at the Avant- Garde is scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 27th at the new Academic Center on Ringling’s campus. Now in its thirteenth year, this annual costume gala is famous for its merriment and artistic revelry, and is one of the community’s most celebrated festive affairs. This year’s event co-chairs are Dave & Amy Sessions. Dave Sessions is the President of Willis A. Smith Construction, Inc.
This year’s theme is The Pajama Party and guests are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite pajamas and fuzzy slippers. The proceeds from An Evening at the Avant-Garde go directly to student scholarships, which allows Ringling to enroll and educate students every year.
