Willis A. Smith Construction, Inc. recently nominated for the Greater Sarasota Area Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year, has been named as one of three finalists for this prestigious award.
The Frank G. Berlin, Sr. Small Business of the Year Award is given annually to the firm selected based on pre-established criteria. Eligibility for this annual award is based on five qualifications. Each business must be a functioning business for five or more years, must be locally owned and employ no more than 50 staff members. It must also be a member of the Greater Sarasota Area Chamber of Commerce and must be a for-profit business. Founded in 1972, Willis A. Smith Construction, Inc. primarily performs commercial and industrial construction. The firm has experienced steady and controlled growth, establishing itself as a mid-sized Construction Management firm serving specialized client markets on the S.W. Coast of Florida.
